Friendship- I thought that friendship was the right word to describe chapters 10 and 11. I thought this because the word friendship depicts both of these chapters. In chapters 10 and 11 Ponyboy is getting recovered from his sickness when he got kicked in the head, in the rumble. He gets kicked hard by one of the Socs and he sleeps for about 1 week and even more a day after the rumble. In these two chapters, Ponyboy develops and evolves to become closer to his community around him and also outside of his community. He even gets to become better friends with Randy and some other Socs. They learn to forgive Ponyboy and the greasers after the rumble and grow into a stronger friendship with them. Ponyboy gets to become closer friends with all the gang, Sodapop and especially Dally too. He even becomes better friends with Johnny and Dally after they already die. Ponyboy remembers all the good times they had together even though he is trying hard to forget them; they will always be a part of his life. This chapter is all about friendship and Poyboy learning to become closer to the people around him because of all his mistakes he had learned from.
